Lovell Park

Lovell Park is an inner-city area of Leeds. The area falls within the Hyde Park and Woodhouse ward of the Leeds Metropolitan Council.

The best things to do at Lovell Park are:

Walking

For both the dog walker who lives close by to the park and the lunchtime worker who wants to stretch their legs for 20-minutes.

Football

There’s a small grass 5-a-side football pitch with fixed goal posts that’s perfect for a match between a group of mates.

Outdoor Gym

Come and jump on the calisthenics equipment trail. Spread across the middle of the park is a series of stops that will get you standing, grasping and pushing.

The site of Lovell Park itself was the site of a cattle market which dates back to before 1860.

Lovell Park has dog waste and rubbish bins in the park.

Picnic

It’s a great picnic spots for some piece and quiet in the city. This is especially good for workers and students on their lunch and tea breaks.

Food & Drink

Right below the park is a couple of top quality pubs that are worth popping into. The Brunswick serves home cooked food and 9 keg and 6 cask lines. Or checkout The Reliance where the menu isn’t complicated, but the food is exceptionally done!

All parking in and around the park is paid. We recommend travelling to this green space by bus or train. If you do want to pay for parking the nearest paid is next to Leeds Building College on Byron Street (Google Map Directions)

Lovell Park is fully accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Leeds city centre is under a mile walk from Lovell Park. You’re in walking distance of the main travel hubs including the train and bus stations.
