Things to Do

Dog Walking

Brookfield Recreation Ground has lots of grass pathways that zig zag around the green space. This adds another level of intrigue when taking the dog on a walk. And on the flip the green space is perfect for playing fetch.

Football

The grass football pitch is a 9-a-side junior size that’s perfect for amateur matches. It can be used from dawn to dusk because there is no floodlights. Bear in mind that there is no changing rooms to accommodate too. Calverley Juniors Football Club use this facility. More info on Calverley Juniors can be found online here.

Playground

The playground is ideal for the 3-12 years age range. There’s exciting installations like the zip wire and climbing frame for the older ones. With small slides, swings and a roundabout for the little ones.

Ball Games

As the big open green space lends itself well for football matches we know that taking a couple of ball games are a good idea. A few of our favourites are football, cricket and even dodgeball!
