Playground

In 2023 the playground received a significant development to improve the playground equipment and matting; stand-outs are the new climbing frames and swing sets.

Football

The multi-use-games-area has been developed to host football matches on the concrete surface. An ideal pitch for wet weather games.

Basketball

Included are markings and hoops for games of basketball.

History

Following community consultation of Ashton Park, significant improvements were made to the playground in 2023, including a complete refurbishment of the playground equipment and matting; even the old equipment has been repainted and repaired.

Amenities

The nearest toilet is a 5-minute walk away to the Shine Café on Harehills Road.

There are rubbish bins provided in Ashton Park.

Food and Drink

The mother of all fish and chip restaurants – Mother Hubbard’s – is a quick walk away on Harehills Road.

Parking

Park for free on the residential road of Conway Place, LS8 5DE (Google Map Directions)

Access

Ashton Park is accessible by a wheelchair and pushchair user.

There is no park lighting in Ashton Park.

The playground is accessible from Ashton Road and the MUGA from Conway Place.
