This is the original flagship restaurant that opened back in the swinging year of 1969. The Whaler has gone on to amass a yearly record of over one million servings of haddock across its restaurant family. This flagship eatery is strikingly historic with its oak beams and soft lighting inside, and what’s more you can enjoy your delicious fish and chips by the river overlooking the famous Wetherby bandstand.

Jump on the bus number 7 (towards Harrogate) from Leeds city centre and you’ll arrive at Wetherby Bus Station (over the road from the Whaler) in around 80-minutes.
A taxi is less feasible on the wallet coming in at around 40-minutes from the centre of Leeds.
The restaurant has a newly installed disability lift onsite.
