Rosebank Park is located in Hyde Park, an inner-city residential area of north-west Leeds. The area is one of the largest student community in Leeds.

Things to Do

Walking

Walking up and down the park on the hillside is a challenge due to the number of steps and steep paths. What makes this so attractive is the wildlife and the views at the tip.

The route through the park is regularly used by parents and children walking to the local Rosebank Primary School.

Watch the Sunset

A bench is perfectly placed at the top of the hill in the park. It is one of the best places to see the sunset westwards towards Burley and Kirkstall. With the sun setting in the west you’re likely to get a bold panoramic view of a sunset in Leeds.

Explore the Orchard

One of the additions that has been added by Hyde Park Source has been the development of a wild orchard. A staple of the UK green spaces until fruit became mass produced in the 1950s. Orchards are a hub for fruit, wildflowers, birds and beetles. In turn the fruit trees can create important deadwood habitats.

Volunteer at Rosebank Park

Hyde Park Source lead a weekly community volunteer session on the Rosebank. The volunteer group are called the Rosebank Rangers. The aim is to invite local residents to meet, socialise and improve the park space. Ranger volunteer outside and engage in activities including path cleaning, planting and seed sowing.
