There is an opportunity to extend your walk south or west via local marked footpaths. Footpaths and backroads cut west across the fields towards Ling Bob Farm and Leeds Trinity University campus.
Wild Flowers
Wild grass meadows can be found in and amongst the patches of woodland. There are up to 100-species of wildflowers in these areas that support the local biodiversity. For example, the common bird’s-foot trefoil is a food plant for 160-species of insects.
Moseley Pond
A Beck runs alongside the verge of the woodland and turns into Moseley Pond towards the southern end of the woodland area. This spot makes for a good place to go pond dipping in summer. All you need is some basic equipment like a net, container and a magnify glass to see the water life.
