Location
Fearnville is a small area of Leeds which neighbours Roundhay, Seacroft, Oakwood, Gipton and Harehills. Fearnville is commonly described as being part of Roundhay or Oakwood, although it is classed as being in the Killingbeck and Seacroft ward.
Fearnville Playing Fields are right next to the Fearnville Leisure Centre, a fitness/leisure centre commonly used by residents from Fearnville and the surrounding areas. It offers a variety of facilities, such as swimming, gym and football. There is a crown green bowling club on the grounds.
Things to Do
Fearnville Skate Park and BMX Track
This is a great place to scoot, skate and bike. A half-pipe, and number of ramps make up a pretty decent skate park.
There is a small BMX track. Nothing crazy but not too bad for a mess about!
Football
There is a football court here, as well as a large field big enough for a kick-about!
Tennis Courts
There are 3 tennis courts, open to the public.
Walk the Dog
Due to the reasonable sized field and two of the sides of the fields backing onto houses, Fearnville Playing Fields is not a bad place to go for a walk with the dog.

Events
The Fearnville Leisure Centre playing fields are the location of the annual Gipton Gala. A local festival similar to the Leeds West Indian Carnival, but smaller.
Amenities
There are a number of bins around the field, and toilets at Fearnville Leisure Centre.
Food and Drink
Lidi and Co-op and a moments walk from here, if you are wanting to put together a picnic.
Due to the residential nature of the area, there are no nearby cafes. However if you fancy a pub lunch, there is The Orchard on Dib Lane,
Parking
We recommend parking in Fearnville Leisure Centres car park. To the top of the park.
Postcode: LS8 3LF (Google Maps Link).
Access
There are several paths that lead around and through the park. These are well maintained. The grass itself can sometimes get boggy after rain. Take care if this is the case.
Several of the entrances have barriers that are not fit for wheelchair users.
