Part of a larger collection of woods under the name of Churwell Woods, Daffil Woods is a small residential wood on the edge of Churwell in Morley. It is connected to Clark Spring Wood, and Springfield Mill Park.

Location
Daffil is located on the edge of Morley on the edge of Churwell. Only a stones throw from the M621, but you can’t hear the traffic due to the houses in-between.
There is a path that links Daffil Woods to Churwell Park, a 1/4 of a way into the woods when coming from Grange Park Drive.
Things to Do
Although a relatively small bit of woodland, it is a great place to get out and stretch your legs.
Walk The Dog
Daffil Woods has a loop of pathways from the bottom of the wood by Westwoodside Road, up to the housing estate by Cottingley railway station. This a good distance for a quick morning or afternoon dog walk. You could add in Clark Spring Woods as well to extend the walk! There are a number of dog waste bins so less carrying needed.
Walk in the Woods
There is a great 2.5km walking route that passed through Clark Spring Wood and Daffil wood. It starts next to the railway, and loops between the two woods, along Westwoodside Road and back up Jubilee corner.

Food and Drink
There is nowhere to get any food or drink within walking distance from Daffil Wood. However a little further on Victoria Road there are is the Nelsons Fisheries, a fish and chips shop serving up some of the best in Morley. Directly next door is the Nelson Arms, a local pub with a great selection of beers.
Parking
There is no dedicated parking for Daffil Woods, but there are several residential roads that provide good access.
The first is alongside the Community Field Centre, postcode LS27 7UQ – Google Maps Link. There is a small amount of on street parking with an entrance into the woods across Westwoodside Road.
The second is Grange Park Drive, postcode LS27 7UR – Google Maps Link. Towards the end of the road there is a small footpath that leads into the woods.
