Location

Garforth is a town east of the centre of Leeds. The area grew exponentially in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries as a result of a boom in coalmining.

Things to Do

Playground

Located right next to the on-site car park. The playground offers a variety of equipment suitable for a toddler and a child. On top of a good safety surface are swings, see-saw, roundabout, climbing frame and slide.

Tennis

There are 2 hard surface tennis courts that are free for the public to use. They were last refurbished in 2019. You don’t need to book a court. Simply bring your equipment, turn up and play if the court is free.

Football

There are 2 full sized grass football pitches at Barley Hill Park. You can play a full 11-a-side football match on these. Garforth Rangers AFC play all their home-games at Barley Hill Park.

Amenities

There are changing rooms and toilets on-site at Barley Hill Park. If these are closed the nearest public toilet is at The Briggate JD Wetherspoon.

There are dog and rubbish waste bins in the park.

Food and Drink

At the end of Barley Hill Road is an Italian restaurant called La Bella Vita. There’s a variety of classic and contemporary pasta and pizza dishes on offer here.

Parking

There is free on-site parking for up to 30-cars. Head to LS25 1DY (Google Map Directions)

Access

Barley Hill Park is fully accessible to a wheelchair and pushchair user.
