The Three Cottages has a friendly relaxed vibe, serving fresh local coffee, amazing cakes and pastries. The café has a passionate, eco-friendly team at the heart.

Offering cakes & pastries in-house and from local independent businesses, local coffee roaster for the best local coffee, hot or cold breakfast and lunches.

There are gluten free, vegan friendly, and vegetarian friendly food options available.

The Food

The café serves hot food ranging from Dhal to Bacon sandwich’s, as well as cakes and pastries. Vegan and gluten free treats are also available. There is a regularly changing specials boards.

Children are also catered for with a sandwich selection and a children’s lunch box with treats such as ginger men. Juice cartons are included.

The Drink

Locally roasted coffee is available daily from 8:30am, as well as locally made hot chocolate and chai latte – all vegan.

There are also sparkling drinks such as San Pellegrino and Capstone Press. Bottled waters and children’s juices are also available.

Three Cottages have a variety of alcoholic beverages available to consume on site.

The Place

The beautiful cottage property is a converted stable set in the heart of the Meanwood park, easily accessible from Meanwood town centre.

Having had many uses over the decades it is now an independent café which first opened in 2018. There is a huge garden space with seating, sofas, picnic areas, and undercover shelter. Rob the owner has ongoing projects to develop the garden space to bring it alive as a cottage garden with water features and flowers.

There is indoor and outdoor seating with outdoor toilets available.

The Location

Meanwood park is located just 4 miles North from Leeds bustling city. The park is made up of 29 hectares of grassland, woodland, meadows and streams.

It also makes up a section of the Meanwood Valley Trail, a 7 mile liner walk described as a ‘green artery’ of Leeds.

Where to Park

Three Cottages is situated next to a public carpark although they prefer visitors to arrive on foot to reduce traffic and disruption to the environment.

Parking is free with the main car park situated off Green Lane offering two disabled parking bays. Postcode for parking is LS6 4LT (Google Map Link).

    What To Do Next

    If you fancy an afternoon in the beer garden then we highly recommend trekking up the Meanwood Park path to the Myrtle Tavern pub which overlooks the Meanwood cricket pitch in a beautiful setting.

    Alternatively there are several bars and restaurants in the centre of Meanwood, most are independently run by local residents.
