The Food

The food at the Swine that Dines is packed full of imagination and bravery. Each month this small team pulls off a different menu with a few specials thrown in too.

Each month they go hard or go home when it comes to meat – the trotter is in the name after all. All the meat is from higher welfare sources and the menu is designed to use all of it, leaving little or no waste. On the flip side the restaurant loves taking a break from meat – presenting a complete vegetarian menu – once a month with their ‘roots and shoots’ menu.

The Drink

It’s a BYOB bring your own booze policy at the Swine! And the good news is there isn’t any corkage fee with the restaurant even providing you with a drinking vessel for your beverage.

The Place

The Swine began life as a supper club (Greedy Pig) many moons ago. The popularity of the supper club forced Stuart & Jo to open a permanent space, and thus the Greedy Pig transformed into the Swine.

You’ll find the permanent eatery on North Street. And walking into it is like walking into a local café with the classic table counter setup in the corner. And checkout  the trademark artwork – rows of pigs – lined up on the high wall. Brilliant!

It’s an all round intimate setting with a very limited number of plates available each evening. Which gives you a sense of being a part of something special; unspoiled by the footfall that larger and louder places get. We’re not sure we should even be giving it away here!
