The Drink
It’s all about the craft beer at the Northern Monk Refectory! The floor you’re served on in the refectory sits above the brewery directly below. Here 20 taps of fresh Northern Monk beer, including sours, stouts, IPAs and of course session strength is brewed.
For those not wanting a taste of beer, you can choose from draught cider, wines and spirits. Or pick from a range of low or no alcohol drinks.
The Place
The Refectory is the spiritual home – brewery and taproom – of Northern Monk. Previously the site of a flax building that fuelled the development of the linen industry. It now plays hosts to visitors with its open plan beer hall and large beer garden.
Northern Monk host a range of events including film nights, tap takeovers and craft beer brewery tours.

The Location
The Northern Monk Refectory is located in the Grade II listed Flax Store in Holbeck, 1-mile south of the city centre.

There is a small customer car park on-site at the Flax Store building.
Access
As the building is Grade listed there is not lift facilities available at the Refectory.
