Maypole Coffee Shop & Deli

Maypole deli has you catered for breakfast, lunch and you’re sweet tooth fix. Breakfast sandwiches and a full English are picks from the breakfast menu.

At lunch you can tuck into salad boxes, scrummy hot and cold sandwiches, paninis, and jacket potatoes. For the little ones you can get kid friendly lunch boxes containing sandwiches and snacks.

The homemade cakes are the worth the visit alone; including the best homemade Bakewell tart.

Fresh ground coffee and a wide range of hot drinks are available.

There is also a chilled soft drinks cabinet.

This lovely little cafe is an ideal pit stop on a walk or bike ride. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff are really helpful.

Barwick-in-Elmet is a village 7-miles east of Leeds city centre. It is one of only three places in the area to be explicitly associated with the ancient Romano-British kingdom of Elmet.

Limited on-street public parking can be found just outside the front of the café.

Barwick sits in the middle of rolling fields of green making it ideal for a long bike ride or run. You could make the Maypole Cafe you’re pitstop break and  finish with a chippy tea at Elmet Fisheries.
