The Brownlee Arms takes your usual pub dining to the next level with a proper focus on gastro dishes in a casual environment. It’s very much British, and very much Yorkshire but jazzed up with a modern twist. And unless you’ve been under a rock for the last decade you won’t have missed the pub name in honour of the Brownlee brothers for their 2012 Olympic gold medal spree. Leeds Leeds Leeds!
There are gluten free, vegan friendly, and vegetarian friendly food options available.
Take a look around
All the dishes are home cooked and fresh to order. Straight off the bat you can get the small person something from the ‘Little Brownlee’ menu (the children menu).
Brunch is served 10am-midday and consists of meaty fry ups, strictly veg sautéed versions and some sweet selections like a good old fashioned pancake.
Lunch & Dinner
The best of lunch according to many of the punters comes from the sandwich selection. All before the heavy hitters come out later at dinner time – feast on burgers, grills and a roast dinner if you fancy it. With the usual suspect pub deserts to finish.
Oh, and every Tuesday is Taco Tuesday, of course!
The Brownlee Brothers serve locally sourced Yorkshire cask ales, fine wines and cocktails. And there’s plenty of soft drink options for the little ones.
A cosy yet modern interior provides the ideal space for family gatherings, lunch with friends or more intimate dinners. And dogs and small children are always welcome!
Where to Park
There is ample customer parking onsite.

What To Do Next
A few doors up the road (the same direction as the train station – sorted!) is the quirky Granvilles Beer & Gin House. Church Street and Town Street are actually littered with bolt holes of inebriation like this. It’s probably turned into a bit of a crawl by now…
