Location

Victoria Park Grove Pocket Park is part of the Lilac housing coop, a 0.7 acre plot in Bramley, west Leeds; and close to the River Aire.

Things to Do

The pocket park is irregularly open to the public. And this is dependent on the accessibility afforded by the resident tenants of the LILAC community.

One third of the site is dedicated green space with an allotment, pond and mini-pocket-park. There are several benches for people to sit and relax in the park space.

History

The Victoria Grove Pocket Park was built on an old Victorian school that was demolished in the first decade of the 2000s.

LILAC co-housing has been developed from the a Danish co-housing model centred around communal collaboration and affordable living.

Amenities

The nearest public toilet is a 10-minute walk away at the Kirkstall Bridge Inn pub.

A small supermarket is a few minutes walk around the corner on to Outgang Lane.

Food and Drink

Gallery 41 is a 15-minute walk away on Kirkstall Road. A cosy Mediterranean restaurant with a penchant for Italian dishes.

Park for free outside on the residential road of Victoria Park Grove, LS5 3DR (Google Map Directions)

Access

The park is accessible to a wheelchair and pushchair user.
