Location
Queen Square’s park area is located between Leeds Beckett University campus and the Merrion Centre, in the middle of Leeds city centre. Leeds Business School are based around the square.

Walk
There is a short stroll on the paved route around the square, that’s ideal for a 10-minute bout of fresh air on a break.
Outdoor Gym
You can turn a short walk into a moderate mini-session of physical activity by using the fixed pieces of outdoor exercise equipment. These stations are built for calisthenic exercises including pulls, lunges, climbs and pedals.
Lunch
A park that is secluded and relatively quiet makes for a good lunch time break away from the office. There are several benches around the park space to sit and take your lunch.

Events
Light Night
Installations and performances are regularly run in Queens Square for Light Night – the largest annual arts and light festival in the UK.
Expect spectacular artworks and captivating performances by local, national and international artists.
History
Queen Square was planned and developed by brother John and George Biscoff who lived in Claypit House from 1787 and owned the adjacent land which became the Square. The Square accommodated the Leeds Odd Fellows Society who lent out the buildings to its members in the 20th century.
Most recently the building and greenspace has come into the ownership of Leeds Beckett University.
Amenities
Queens Square has flat, wide, paved paths. There are rubbish and dog bins placed along the pathways. Bench seating is included at several points around the Square.
