Things to Do
Walking
There is lots of wide open green space within Parklands Park. In the summer some of the field is left to grown wild, and other parts are cut and maintained as trail walking routes. It’s a great place for walking on your own, with others or walking your dog.
Football
You can play one full sized adult grass football pitch with fixed goal posts.
Friends of Parklands Fields
The ‘Friends of’ group are a band of community residents who volunteer to tend the park and keep it in good condition. They do this by litter picking, planting trees and campaigning to improve facilities in the park. You can join the friends of group and volunteer your time. Find out what the friends of group are getting up to on their Facebook group.
