Although small in terms of Leeds parks, Lewisham Park has a loads of potential.
Running at Lewisham Park
A lap of Lewisham Park comes out at around half a kilometre. This makes it great for the start of couch to 5k, and training for short sprints. Maybe include it in park of a longer route for a touch of green within the tarmac of Morley.
Dog Walking
With enough bins, and space to stretch their legs, Morley Park is a decent choice for walking the dog if you are local.
Picnics
The almost whole of Lewisham Park is grass. This makes it a great place to grab a picnic, or some snacks from the local shop and enjoy the sunshine!
Children’s Playground
Lewisham Parks playground is kitted out with swings, some climbing structures and a fenced off area perfect for keeping a eye on your little ones whilst they play.
MUGA
There is a concrete multi-use-games-area with open sides. This court can host a game of basketball but be mindful of the ball running away from you.

Amenities
There are a number of regular and dog poo bins on site. There are no toilets on site. There may be toilets in local eateries, but we recommend checking they are open before heading out.
Food and Drink
If you are looking for something to eat in the park, we recommend Miners Fisheries. Serving up the best fish and chips in Morley! However if you would prefer a sit down meal then head across to Kasa Rosa. A family run Mediterranean restaurant with an open kitchen. Incredible pizzas, tapa and a generally enjoyable experience.
Parking
Lewisham Park is located in a residential area. This means than there is no shortage of on road parking. You can park on any one of the surrounding roads.
Access
There are several tarmac paths that circle the park. These are of varying condition, but should be fine for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The grass itself depends on the weather. If it has recently rained the park tends to get waterlogged and can get muddy and become slippery.
