Three Legs is a historic listed Victorian pub on The Headrow, one of the most recognised boozers in Leeds city centre. A tavern has stood on this site since 1743.
The name nods to the triskelion, the three-legged emblem of the Isle of Man carved directly into the woodwork above the entrance arch, with the current building dating to the mid-19th century. This is a drinks-only pub: no food is served. Daily karaoke from 2pm, pool, Sky Sports, and traditional pub games anchor the day-to-night rhythm.
Voted by Yorkshire Evening Post readers as one of the most iconic pubs in the city, it’s a feel-good community local with a lively cast of regulars.
Good place to go if you are looking for , and late night.

The Drink
The bar’s distinguishing feature is a deeper international keg line-up than you’d expect from a Greene King tenancy. Madrí Excepcional is the most recent addition, a creamy Spanish lager that’s become a real fixture across the daytime trade.
Guinness holds the stout tap. John Smith’s smooth keeps the Yorkshire bitter end honoured. Stella, Foster’s, Carling, Cruzcampo, and Carlsberg fill out the rest of the cold taps.
The two cask handpumps on the bar back are kept as decoration rather than service — CAMRA has confirmed there’s no real ale on offer.
Bottled beer, spirits, and wine are also stocked at the bar, though there’s no curated wine list or cocktail programme — the focus stays squarely on the keg pour. Standard soft drinks (cola, lemonade, juice, mixers) are available across opening hours.
The Place
Three Legs occupies a striking three-storey Victorian-Edwardian building on The Headrow, its richly carved mahogany ground-floor façade standing out against plainer civic neighbours. The triskelion medallion is set directly into the woodwork above the arched entrance, dark green on burgundy, ringed by acanthus scrollwork.
Inside, the J-shaped bar dominates, fronted in deep navy panelling with structural columns to match. Honey-toned wooden tables and dark leather bar stools fill the room beneath low cream ceilings hung with warm pendant globe lights. International flag bunting traces the upper walls, and Leeds United memorabilia anchors one end, including a large blue-and-yellow championship banner that backs the karaoke stage. Coloured disco lights in red and green come on for evening sessions. A pool table sits at the rear, and the dartboard, characteristically, is mounted on the ceiling.
The Location
The pub sits on The Headrow, the wide civic arterial road that cuts east-to-west through Leeds city centre. The Henry Moore Institute is moments away, with Leeds Art Gallery and Leeds Town Hall both within a two-minute walk. Trinity Leeds and Briggate’s pedestrianised shopping spine are five minutes south.
The pub is well-served by buses running The Headrow itself, and Leeds Train Station is around a ten-minute walk through the shopping district.
