Kirkstall Fisheries are on a mission to produce the finest traditional fish and chips. Giving you a portion of arguably the nations favourite dish, at their very best.
In 2021 they were rated in the top 5 of Fish and Chips in Leeds by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
It’s all about the flaky Haddock – freshly sourced from Whitby – and golden chips at Kirkstall Fisheries. And there’s plenty of extras on the menu including pies, burgers and sausages.

Located on Morris Lane in Kirkstall, this Fish and Chips is a stones throw away from Kirkstall Abbey and Headingley. It’s appearance is much like any other Fish and Chips venue, but the incredibly friendly staff and tasty food really sets it apart.

Catch bus number 50 from Leeds city centre straight to the front door of Kirkstall Fisheries, it will take you 15-minutes in total.
A taxi will take you 10-minutes from the centre of Leeds.
Kirkstall train station, with regular journeys to and from Leeds station, is a couple of minutes walk up Kirkstall Lane hill.
The chip shop is wheelchair accessible, with a small step in.
What To Do Next
If it’s a decent day, why not have a wander down to Kirkstall Abbey and take in the sun. If you are more in the mood for a pint head down onto the A65 and you’ll see the entrance to West End House. It’s a traditional pub dating back from 1867 that’s got a packed out social calendar.
