Fika North

Fika North

If you take your coffee slow and appreciate the little things in life then Fika is your kind of café

Fika North

The word ‘Fika’ is Swedish for slowing down and appreciating the things you value in life, like good coffee with friends! This Swedish ritual comes with lots of sweet and savoury bites, all wrapped up in good ole Yorkshire spirit. It’s fair to say that Fika is more than a coffee shop, it’s a state of mind.

There are gluten free, vegan friendly, and vegetarian friendly food options available.

The Food

Another Swedish word that’s relevant when it comes to dinner is ‘Lagöm’ which translates (roughly) to “just about the right amount, in balance” in English. Nothing better can describe a Vegan friendly menu that comes with things like ‘sunshine bagels’ as big as your head. Everything is sourced from local independent suppliers across Leeds, Yorkshire & the UK.

There’s also a full on patisserie and cake selection with fancy treats like macarons thrown in. And you can even takeaway fresh bread baked inhouse.

The Drink

Scandinavians take their coffee very seriously, some might say ritualistically. Fika sources the finest speciality coffee from independent roasters in Leeds, Yorkshire, and United Kingdom.

Alongside these top quality beans you can also get craft beers, wines and cocktails.

The Place

Nestled in the leafy suburb of Far Headingley; Fika oozes a contemporary and cool vibe that works really well with the whole ethos of the place. It is simple, cosy, and Scandi inspired.

The ritual of having coffee with those you love isn’t stifled by an exclusivity. And this shows in their warm welcoming of  dogs and families.
