Cinnaful

The menu is tight and focused — a concise lineup of sweet and savoury cinnamon rolls, each baked in-house and available in regular or mini sizes. The Dreamy Pistachio is the roll that catches the eye first, topped with cream cheese frosting, a vivid pistachio paste drizzle, and crushed pistachios scattered across the surface. Its balance of sweet frosting against the earthier pistachio layer makes it a clear standout among the topped range.

The Plain Jane takes the opposite approach — a classic cinnamon roll loaded with thick cream cheese frosting and nothing else, letting the dough and spice do the talking. For something richer, the Heavenly Caramel pairs that same cream cheese base with a golden caramel drizzle and pecan pieces, while the Creamy Biscoff brings Lotus Biscoff into the mix for an indulgent, biscuity finish.

The savoury side deserves attention. The Cheesy Harissa and Olive Cin swaps frosting for harissa sauce, melted cheese, and olive — a punchy twist on the cinnamon roll format that has built a following of its own. Two more savoury options sit alongside it, including a pesto and three-cheese version and a spinach, cream cheese, and feta roll, giving the menu a genuine savoury dimension beyond the sweet core.

Seasonal specials appear from time to time, with past offerings including a strawberry roll topped with brown sugar and cinnamon crumble. The menu is compact by design.

Coffee

Coffee is the natural companion here. The cafe serves both hot and iced options, with iced coffees arriving in branded Cinnaful cups finished with a chocolate drizzle — a photogenic pairing alongside a fresh roll. The full hot drinks range is not formally published, but coffee has earned repeat custom from the Street Lane crowd.

Smoothies & Soft Drinks

Fruit smoothies round out the cold offering, with vibrant green and blue options visible in customer photos throughout the warmer months. Standard soft drinks are also available. No alcohol — this is a bakery-cafe through and through.

The shopfront announces itself on Street Lane with a dark navy fascia and coral-orange “Cinnaful” lettering in a playful script font, an illustrated cinnamon roll graphic sitting alongside it on the sign. Large plate glass windows carry matching cinnamon roll decals, and the display of fresh rolls is visible to anyone walking past on the parade. It is a compact single-frontage unit, typical of the suburban high street it sits on, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in warmth.

Inside, the standout feature is an abstract painted plaster wall in muted blue, terracotta, and cream tones — a textured, tactile backdrop that photographs well and gives the small space its own identity. The counter surface is warm light oak in a butcher-block parquet pattern, and fresh rolls sit in open metal bakery trays ready to go. A rattan pendant lamp hangs overhead, adding to the relaxed, handmade aesthetic running through the whole space.

Service is at the counter. Rolls arrive on grey ceramic plates with forks for those eating in, or in white folding takeaway boxes for the majority heading out the door. The format is quick and casual — order, choose, settle in or go.

Outside, wicker chairs line the pavement for fair-weather seating, catching the sun on the Street Lane frontage. The capacity looks modest from the outside, but visitors note plenty of seating inside — suggesting the interior holds more than the compact exterior implies. The whole operation feels neighbourhood-rooted, community-scale, and unapologetically focused on one thing done well.

Street Lane runs through the Roundhay and Moortown area of north Leeds, a suburban high street lined with independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. Cinnaful sits at number 75, on the main parade between other independent businesses. Roundhay Park — one of the largest urban parks in Europe — is a short walk away, making the café a natural first or last stop on a weekend park visit.
