The Little Monk

Standouts include Bitterballen, Cheese Fondue and Bratwursts from our small plates with Moules Frites, Schnitzel, Waterzooi (fish stew), Ox Cheek carbonnade our large dishes, rounded off with Waffles for dessert.

The Little Monk has 9 draught lines with Ayinger Lager Hell, Flensburger Lager and Pierres Pale as permanent house beers with a rotation of German wheat beers, Belgian classics like dark, blonde and fruit beers rounded of with some stronger German lagers. Plus seasonal Lambics and Christmas beers. They also stock over 125 bottles with only 3 of these from the UK.

There are a small selection of soft drinks available.

The Little Monks venue is a traditional stone building that has great depth and height. They can seat 75 guests at once with seating in the front, rear and upstairs. Colour scheme is green, white and brown with walls decorated with continental beer posters, light signage from German, Dutch and Belgian breweries. a very cosy feel, especially on an evening when all lights are dimmed to a low level. They also have an open kitchen which adds to the atmosphere plus playing a section of French and British 80’s and 90’s hits.

Games Night

Every Tuesday is games night at The Little Monk. With a great selection of old, new, classic and never been seen before board and card games, it’s the perfect reason to get together with friends, family or colleagues, or come along and play with new friends, play in a large group or play in a small group. With a great selection of beers and food, this is a fun night for all.

There is New Street car park behind the property with Horsforth Hall Park free parking within 2 minutes walking distance, plus Town Street has free parking down the one way street.

We have full wheelchair access with a downstairs large disabled toilet also with baby changing facilities.

Horsforth Hall Park is a stunning area with a beautiful Japanese water garden inside. Would also recommend a walk down to the local Leeds/Liverpool canal.
