The Food
Everything at Portside is fried in vegetable oil. The special chip seasoning is notably similar to a certain chicken restaurant and it tastes pretty good!
Seasoning and oil aside the classic menu choices include haddock, sausage and Yorkshire fish cake – the latter fish cake isn’t mashed, it comes as slices deep fried in batter!
Sausages, classic pies, scampi, butties and the classic pickled egg are all on offer too.
If you’re a coeliac there is a gluten free fish and chip option.
