Pixel Bar is Leeds’ first dedicated gaming bar, tucked underground on Great George Street in the city centre. Console booths loaded with PS5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch sit alongside retro arcade cabinets, high-spec gaming PCs and a custom-built Dungeons & Dragons table — all wrapped in layers of neon and a creative cocktail menu that draws from the games on screen. Three independent partner kitchens serve food on-site, making this as much a place to eat as it is to play.
There are vegan friendly, and vegetarian friendly food options available.

The Food
Three street food partners operate their own kitchens inside Pixel Bar, each bringing a distinct menu to the table.
Big Buns focuses on halal smash burgers and loaded fries. The Classic Frenchie — a double beef patty with caramelised onions and crunchy shallots in a toasted French brioche bun — is their signature, while the Abs Special layers blue cheese crispy chicken breast on top of a beef patty for something more indulgent. A full plant-based range uses Beyond vegan patties across options like the Veggy Frenchie and Veggy Volcano with jalapeños, roasted red peppers and vegan spicy mayo. Loaded fries mirror the burger range, with the Buffalo Clucky — crispy chicken in honey buffalo sauce — a popular choice.
Falafel Guys brings halal Middle Eastern wraps and salad bowls, all served with homemade hummus, salad and sauces. The Triple Decker combines chicken shawarma, falafel and halloumi cheese in a single wrap, while the classic falafel wrap keeps things simple with deep-fried chickpea balls and spices.
Six Slice rounds out the offering with pizza served on a nine-inch naan base. The Nash-Villain tops mozzarella with tabasco-tossed chicken tenders, cayenne, garlic sauce and spicy mayo, and a dedicated vegan menu includes options like the Fet-ish with vegan feta, vegan mozzarella, house-made bacon jam and sriracha.

The Drink
The cocktail list leans fully into the gaming theme. The signature Who’s That Pokémon? — a vodka, lemon juice and soda build available in eight flavours from strawberry to bubblegum — arrives garnished with a Pokémon card. Blue Eyes White Dragon combines raspberry rum with blue curaçao and blue glitter, while the Mishima Zaibatsu takes a more refined approach with bourbon, plum sake, agave syrup and bitters in an Old Fashioned style. A frozen Wumpa Fruit blends pink gin with raspberry puree and passionfruit juice, and the White Chocobo pairs vanilla vodka with white chocolate liqueur and espresso. Almost the entire cocktail menu is vegan-friendly, and a daily happy hour runs until 10pm.
For non-drinkers, the mocktail menu mirrors the cocktail range — the Pokémon Trainer comes with the same eight flavour choices and card garnish, alongside options like Red Eyes Black Dragon with Vimto, cherry and strawberry syrups, and Slurp Juice with lemonade and blue curaçao syrup. Potion Shots in Health, Mana and Stamina flavours round out the gaming-themed drinks list, and beer is available on draught alongside a full spirits selection.
The Place
A dark doorway beneath a striking blue-and-white hexagonal neon sign draws you below pavement level into a basement venue built around layered colour. Neon strips in blue, purple, red, green and orange run across walls, ceiling edges and bar fronts, reflecting off dark purple-painted surfaces and light wood flooring. A long wooden bar counter cuts through the central space, backed by full backlit spirits shelving, with red and orange bar stools lining the front.
The gaming zones each have their own character. A dedicated PC area features high-spec RGB tower rigs flanking a central banquette under intense purple and blue ceiling neon, while a retro arcade section houses classic cabinets including a Space Invaders machine. Console booths offer PS5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch setups, and board games and a handcrafted Dungeons & Dragons table cater to tabletop players. Gaming artwork, custom neon sculptures and Pokémon plushies displayed on a wooden barrel at the bar fill every corner with character. Multiple large screens mounted throughout show live game content, from Pokémon battles to retro platformers.
The space holds up to 150 across multiple levels, with private hire available for parties, corporate events and team-building. Pixel Bar is an LGBTQ+-friendly and transgender safe space, welcomes dogs, and offers gender-neutral toilets throughout.
