The Food
The centrepiece of the menu is the Hyderabadi dum biryani, slow-cooked in the traditional sealed-pot method across six varieties including chicken, paneer, vegetable, egg, lamb, and rich nalli. The sharing-sized jumbo chicken biryani makes the dish a natural choice for group dining.
From the clay oven section, eleven tandoor-cooked dishes deliver smoky, charred flavours — chicken tikka, marinated and grilled with aromatic spices, stands out among them. The small plates draw on South Indian traditions: Cauliflower Kempu Bezule arrives with warming coastal spices, while Cut Mirchi — spicy green peppers in chickpea batter with peanuts — offers a punchy starter. Karwari prawns round out the South Indian selection.
The curry section spans fifteen dishes, from palak paneer — fresh paneer cubes simmered in rich spinach gravy with traditional spices — to rogan josh and a range of masala preparations. An Indo-Chinese section of nine dishes plus five sizzler options broadens the menu’s scope beyond the Hyderabadi heartland, reflecting the restaurant’s self-described “North and South Indian” identity.
On weekends, a South Indian breakfast buffet runs from the morning opening, offering a spread of regional dishes at a single set price — a weekend ritual that has already drawn repeat visitors.
Vegetarian options run throughout the menu, with paneer biryani, vegetable biryani, palak paneer, Veg Manchurian, and Chilli Paneer all available. The kitchen is fully halal-certified.

The Drink
Mojo Royal Treat is a non-alcoholic restaurant, and the drinks menu leans into traditional Indian beverages. Goli Soda — the fizzy, marble-bottle Indian classic — sits alongside cooling lassi, tangy jaljeera spiced with cumin and tamarind, and Aam Panna made from raw mango. A broader selection of ten soft drinks rounds out the offering.
The Place
The main dining room makes an immediate impression: deep blue velvet high-back booth seating lines the walls, set against gold three-dimensional diamond-pattern embossed panels that catch the warm amber lighting. Dark wooden tables and considered blue ceramic crockery — biryani arrives in matching bowls — complete a colour palette of navy, gold, and dark wood that feels more contemporary boutique than traditional curry house.
An open tandoor oven with live flames adds a theatrical element to the dining experience, bringing the heat and aroma of the clay oven section directly into the room.
Upstairs, a first-floor function room seats up to forty for celebrations and corporate events. The space takes on a different character: round dark tables dressed with yellow flower centrepieces, a green botanical mural wall, and an illuminated Mojo logo set the scene beneath large LED panel ceiling lights. Outside catering is also available for events of up to a thousand.
From the street, the deep navy painted façade stands out on Roundhay Road, with a large illuminated gold circular Mojo logo and warm amber light glowing through the wide glass shopfront.
