The Leeds Bread Co-op was born out of a desire to bring fresh, delicious, healthy bread to the people of Leeds.
The co-op bake for individuals like their bread subscribers all the way up to local retailers. They have a bakery shop you can visit too!

The Food
It’s bread baked better at the Leeds Bread Co-op.
The headliner is the slowly fermented sourdough made from healthy and well sourced ingredients. Alongside ciabatta, focaccia and baguette. Across this you can pick from savoury variations if you wish.
The pastry selection adds a big dose of sweetness to the menu. Think croissant dough topped with frange and rhubarb jam; or creamy whipped coffee frangipane inside a twice baked Pain Au Choc, with a hazelnut top.

The Place
Leeds Bread Co-op are a worker’s co-operative, which means all the workers collectively and democratically run the business together. There’s no CEO’s or share holders here!
If you want to learn how to bake then LBC offer a range of classes covering sourdough, Italian classics and pastry Viennoiserie classes.
The co-op like to take their baked goodness to farmers markets around Leeds – catch them making regular appearances in Oakwood, Horsforth and Ilkley!
