The Food

Friends of Ham serves signature charcuterie and cheese boards featuring high quality cured meats, artisan cheeses, breads, pickles and accoutrements. The Drink

Friends of Ham serves an extensive selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. The beer menu features a wide variety of craft beers and cask ales from local Yorkshire breweries as well as international options. Popular choices include Kernel Pale Ale, Magic Rock Clown Juice, and Hawkshead Lakeland Lager. Beers are available in pint glasses or bottles.

The Place

Friends of Ham has a laid-back, rustic vibe across two floors. Downstairs is a cavernous yet cosy space with floorboards, central communal tables, and smaller seating spaces around the outside. The low ceiling adds to the intimate atmosphere.

They opened on New Station Street in July 2012 with the aim of bringing high quality food and drink to Leeds in a relaxed, friendly and informal setting.

Upstairs, the bright and breezy interior features an open café-bar look with large windows letting in plenty of natural light.

Tables and chairs are a mix of styles adding a quirky edge. The wallpaper is designed with filled bookshelves, keeping with the relaxed vibe. The bar offers an extensive range of beers on tap along with a wine list and classic cocktails.

Friends of Ham stock a range of food and drink hampers online but can also make up a bespoke hamper of your choice using any products in their Deli including over 100 bottled beers and wines.

The Location

Friends of Ham is located on New Station Street in Leeds city centre, close to the train station. The bar is a short walk from City Square bus station, providing easy access via public transport.
