Vegetarian and vegan options run throughout the menu, from the falafel and hummus through to plant-based cake options. The kitchen also prepares a more extensive evening menu available through delivery platforms, featuring a full Italian offering of pizza, pasta and starters. The Mizzika 555 Platter — grilled halloumi and Turkish sucuk sausage with falafel, mixed olives and hummus — captures the cafe’s cross-cultural approach in a single sharing dish. Pasta dishes like penne pollo pesto with chicken, mushroom, garlic and a creamy sauce sit alongside classics such as lasagna with rich bolognese, bechamel, parmesan and mozzarella.

Specialty coffee sits at the heart of the Aromatik experience. The espresso menu covers all the staples — latte, cappuccino and cortado — prepared with care and available with regular or plant-based milks. Multiple reviewers have singled out the coffee as among the strongest in Leeds, which is no small claim for a neighbourhood cafe.

Beyond coffee, the drinks menu includes a selection of teas and smoothies, with the VITA smoothie blended with dates standing out as a popular choice. Soft drinks round out the offering. Aromatik operates as a fully non-alcoholic venue, keeping the focus squarely on the coffee and the food.

Floor-to-ceiling glass panels flood the interior with natural light, making the space feel brighter and more generous than the narrow shopfront suggests. Light natural wood tables pair with grey upholstered chairs on wooden legs in a clean, Scandinavian-influenced style. Black dome pendant lights with gold interiors hang overhead, and large tropical plants in the window displays soften the edges and add warmth. The walls are kept cream and uncluttered, with a chalkboard menu listing the day’s offerings.

Outside, pavement tables sit beneath a dark awning directly on Chapeltown Road, offering a front-row seat to the bustle of one of North Leeds’ busiest high streets. The exterior is easy to spot — a black shopfront framed by a distinctive red door, with “The Real Taste of Coffee” printed across the frontage.
